Melanson Quartet

Shortly after forming in September 2014, the Melanson Quartet was awarded a Davey-Posnanski String Quartet Scheme at the Royal Academy of Music. The Melanson Quartet continues to receive generous coaching from Jon Thorne of the Badke Quartet. Although a relatively new ensemble, the Melanson Quartet has already held a number of important public recitals, including performances with the Schubert Society of Great Britain and Charlton House. In March, in conjunction with Wigmore Hall's 2015 International String Quartet Competition, the Melanson Quartet has performed in a series of masterclasses with Christoph Richter and Miguel di Silva, and helped lead with Wigmore Hall Learning their  "String Quartet Family Day". Most recently, the quartet was featured in a recital in the David Josefowicz Recital Hall, hosted by the Royal Academy of Music, as part of its Tuesday Chamber music series. Although still a young string quartet, they show incredible ambition and have high hopes for the future.
